Lieberman- 4 (-1)

I've seen polls with edwards up double digits, but like NH, Zogby likes to keep it close

1. Oklahoma is critical
I heard a piece on NPR from a small city in Oklahoma, and it was most reassuring for Edwards. There were a lot of people clicking with him, and he's been there often. It's an interesting state--my Dad's home state, incidentally, so I've spent some time there--and one where his rural platform planks may play very well. (He has initiatives for rural healthcare, incentives for teachers, etc.)

If he can pull this one out while winning SC, it will show that he's not a fluke, and it will open up peoples' eyes about his ability in the red states. There's too much stampeding towards Kerry right now that's based on whistling a merry tune and essentially writing off the old Confederacy (oh, all right, it was Indian Territory, but don't forget Watie) for the fall, but people must be somewhat uncomfortable with that prospect.

Isn't Missouri a frustration? I was hoping he'd do better there.

2. Missouri is a bit of a bummer
Have to give all the credit to Kerry, I'm just hoping Edwards can crack 20% in that state and finish 2nd.
