If your candidate loses the primaries, will you watch his concession......
speach? I just don't have the stomach for it. I'll not only not watch the speech, but stay out of politics for a long time. Yes, I'll still always vote Democrat.

Any other lily-livers out there beside me?

1. Please don't be a lily-liver, hang in there.
Don't you know that you will play right into the powerful hands of the very people who shape our politics for us?

Staying involved is so important, you are an agent for change.

It is so hard to do the right thing.

If doing the right thing was easy, then everybody would do it.

2. We can't Lose ...
As long as "We The People" remember we fight against the "junta." It is about the people against the junta in power. All Democratic Candidates have much the same goals and objectives.

The differences are in the priorities of the goals and objectives.

Vote Democratic at all levels.

3. We lose when we let two state primaries decide the rest.
This is indisputable...

4. That is one of the bonus's of not being decided on a candidate yet
My candidate wins the nomination no matter who wins. So of course I will watch any concession speech I happen to run across.

6. this is the other side of the sword called passion.
this happens when people become too emotionally invested in a candidate rather than a cause.

this is why i cringe whenever i read someone say they love a candidate. love is much too volitile an emotion for politics.

determination is a better guiding force than passion.

7. The art of a good concession speech
Don't dismiss the power of concession speeches. Though it takes humility that is a good thing. Concesssion speeches have the ability to make you feel that your support went above and beyond winning. They have the ability to inspire you. To take you beyond the candidate and give you a higher purpose. To help you realize that you were fighting your your beliefs. That you were exercising your american rights. To validate your support in the first place. To give you another avenue and point you in directions of other battles to fight. They have the ability to heal ... to engage in self-reflection.

Hmmm what do I know? I have a perfect record so far of all the campaigns I volunteered in of them winning....lol... Though I was deeply depressed during the 2000 election.

8. The last concession speech I watched was Al Gore 2000.
It hurt.

So I don't know. I probably will watch Dean's concession speech if he loses the primaries, but I might have to forego watching the democratic nominee if he loses the general elections... 2 for 2? Can't handle it.
