1. My guess is that Lisa Murkowski
is probably against it since she opposed renewal of the PATRIOT Act without further revision.

2. I think you can put Spector on that list.
I think Lindsey Graham also has said if what is being reported is true, it's illegal.

3. randi rhodes was talking about this
and trying to figure out why specter is voting for alito even tho he is definitely pro choice & alito said roe is "unsettled law", and analyzing a comment lindsey graham made about looking forward to pursing this nsa issue further with the dems to investigate.

she thinks their alito votes have to do with the fact that the white house wants to take the nsa investigation out of specters judiciary committee and stick it in the ,,,? i forget--some other committee where they can keep the hearings secret or something...

and specter doesn't want to lose it because once they do the investigation and present evidence and senate votes they could find the administration guilty of committing a crime, and then articles of impeachment would have to be drawn up.

but on that thought i wonder if, since the white house is so good at keeping their word (NOT) that even if arlen thinks he's horse trading his vote to keep nsa in his committee he still might get screwed out of it and it'll be too late--he's already given a yes on alito by then.
