2. Maybe the NSA wiretapped him & Bush has threatened him.
I called his office and told him to vote NO and filibuster.

4. Nelson is more concerned about getting his
ass re-elected in Nebraska than he is about the Constitutional rights of all Americans - which he clearly considers expendable.

5. It's obvious. He's in a conservative leaning state and he'd rather
get re-elected than do what's right. That's why Daschle was so ineffective as the Democratic leader, he was always too affraid of losing and he lost anyway.

6. I would rather have him vote no on this lost cause then give his seat to t
he GOP. we need to be pragmatic if we ever want this country back.

8. I'd rather have him grow a spine and when this country is...
... circling the drain we can at least say we tried to fight for what was right. If we don't hold the Democrats feet to the fire and allow the to move further and further to the right nothing will ever change. A (D) means nothing if they're voting like Republicans and taking money from corporations.

7. When is he up for re-election?
I think Ernie Chambers should challenge him for his seat.

9. Nelson is up for re-election this year
Unfortunately, due to the political atmosphere in Nebraska, Chambers would have little chance of getting votes outside of Omaha.

10. Yeah, I spose so, but it would be fun.
He's a little bit out there to appeal to your average Nebraskan.

But I always liked him.
