Counter to GOP Claim That Dems Applying Litmus Test To Alito

The GOP and the corporate media are literally jumping up and down trying to say that the Democrats are applying an extreme litmus test to Alito and rejecting him on that basis.

Dick Durbin responded today that it is THE GOP that has applied a litmus test to the SCOTUS candidate otherwise the Senate would be deliberating the nomination of HARRIET MEIRS. Ms. Meirs didn't pass muster for the rabid right wing and she was dumped. It is clearly the GOP that has applied the litmus test. Great response Senator Durbin!!!!

even though there was very little focus on it during the hearings. They want the media off the snooping and excess exc. power.

so when senate dems say alito is bad and decline to use all the tools possible to stop his ascension to the court
they are just posturing and deceiving their constituency. american revolutionary patriots died in their fight for
freedom from tyranny. can't imagine any senate democrat willing to do the same.
