A scary picture: The Supreme Court without O'Connor

I'm not just talking about a woman's right to choose, SDO was the swing vote on a lot of important decisions. Let's look at a few of the decisions where ruled with the "liberals" on the court, and show how important it is to block an ideologue like A-lie-to.



McConnell v. FEC
-SDO ruled with the majority that campaign finance reform did not violate the first Amendment. Imagine this issue is revisited and McCain-Feingold is overturned. The GOP machine will get millions in soft-money donations from the guys that get rich of *'s economic policies. Imagine Sam Walton giving the RNC 50 million dollars completely legally!

Grutter/Gratz v. Bollinger
-SDO ruled with the majority upholding Affirmative action.

Lawrence v. Texas
-SDO ruled with the majority striking down Texas's sodomy laws. Want to live in a country where the government regulates how consenting adults love each other?

Now presuming Sam Alito is confirmed, you can say goodbye to the above rulings. I hope this just provides some perspective on how important it is for us to stop Alito. Call your Senators, please. There is so much at stake.
