Today our Nation literally became the Democratic underground...
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 11:25 PM by feelthebreeze
I cannot stress enough the importance of the image of basement "hearings" that were held today. It gives the mistaken appearance to all who view, that we are weak, controlled, and a minority view which can be swept under the carpet.

We must continue these events away from the beltway as was purported by the testifiers. The image it gives our country is we are a minority view and must bow to an all important majority's wishes. First off, this is not how a healthy Democracy works. There must be credit and weight to any dissenting view to which debate is then fostered. Today's indignities have shown in ever clearer light how far we have come from a healthy functioning body of governance that was devised by our founders. Secondly, the views that were being voiced today are hardly a minority vision. It is a vast number of Americans who are becoming aware of the danger that this Nation is slipping toward and our leaders are pushing We the People faster and faster to a brink.

The idea of the righteous claiming their realized power back is an image that must be secured and firmly established in the public eye. We must no longer allow a "framing" of our true democratic cause as anything but correct, firm and in absolute control of a process. This is what drives people.
The intent must be " We decide the rules and if you will not play by them nor respect an even playing field, then we will take our ball and go elsewhere. Until a sense of justice and responsibility returns to our House and Senate, we must show a lack of respect for what this established dysfunction in our government has become and hold further hearings elsewhere for the American people. Not for the usurpers, but for this Nation of citizens whose voice is the ultimate answer.

3. Your subject line is remarkably insightfully
Mr Conyers is a true patriot.

We will win by the way and win means regaining your democracy. Unfortunately, I see blood being spilled to accomplish this task.
