to convince this Dem doubter in the debate, despite your assertion that he was prepared for battle. Judging from the boos he got at one point, I'd guess there are a lot of other Dem doubters left to sway.

11. Yes.
Brokaw asked him something about how he would be able to get things done as President, considering the congress is GOP controlled, and he answered something about having to know how to work from within the system to reach compromises.

Of course, the pundits were too busy declaring Kerry the winner to take notice of the incident, but there was a palpable discontent frrom within the audience. They were rightfully discontent with that answer.

He also said something about knowing how to get bills passed without your name on them.. I don't think that was a very good answer, either.

25. What was wrong with his answers? He's correct that it

doesn't matter whose name is on the bill if you get your work done and he's correct that it helps to know how to work with Congress and to compromise, unless, of course, he has the votes lined up to be a bully, the way Bush* is. Every president who comes in as an "outsider" goes through a learning curve in which things can get pretty screwed up.

I didn't actually hear any pundits claim Kerry won. I did hear Pat Buchanan say that Kucinich and Sharpton won, which was really interesting, coming from him.

28. I don't want someone who..
knows the fine art of compromising with Republicans and cutting deals behind closed doors. Call it a personal preference.

And every pundit on the Hardball special following the debate, including Buchanon and Matthews, called Kerry the winner.

31. That's not what happened. It was Dean who attacked Kerry
about his ability to get bills passed and his attack failed. Kerry had a great comeback as you mentioned above. It wasn't boos...it was ooo's because he scored the point, Dean walked right into it.:-)

8. Nope, it's pure genius swiping it from bush*
It makes a mockery of bush* using it when he did and at the same time captures the actual meaning of the saying. It got huge cheers at a Kerry rally here in St Louis.

26. I don't know where he's going to be...
It was just annouced. He flys in here, does his little song and dance then flys right back out with his grab bag. He'll be here maybe for an hour or two.
Honestly, I don't think that would help Kerry in the primary in MO, St Louis is a funny place, it would be better to protest the medicare issue with a bunch of grannies. The Moveon ad about medicare has been being played here about once or twice an hour in peak times. In general, people here protest issues not people. Last time bush* was in town, there was a protest about overtime pay. I don't think it got national news.

30. It turns my stomach!!
I'm reminded of something negative- actually horrifying everytime he says it, too.
Kerry's imitatation diminishes the seriousness of the sickness of Bush saying it. That should be used against Bush to show his lack of empathy, but Kerry is caricaturing it and he'll never be able to do it. It's also more of Kerry's disgusting macho posturing. It's truly nauseating.

19. Which major news media are attacking Kerry?
So far, we've got stupid unconfirmed botox rumors (from crappy celeb news outlets), and one WP article talking about the obvious hypocrisy of Kerry's anti-special interest crib from Dean's campaign.

However, there are still far more anti-Dean articles and stories than anti-Kerry articles and stories throughout corporate media. Just do a news search of each at news.google.com or news.yahoo.com if you don't believe me.

Considering that Kerry is now the undisputed front-runner, how do you explain this?

The ones who made his fundraising dry up for most of last year and that benefitted the Dean and Clark campaign coffers.

40. before anybody is paying attention
That's what always pops up in my mind when people talk about somebody being trashed (or propped up, for that matter) "for months" - nobody but us junkies were paying attention months ago. NOW is when people are paying attention, so NOW is when the trashing/propping up can actually affect the race.

I don't think it's unreasonable to repeat things, if nobody heard you the first time. I do think it's unreasonable to repeat STUPID things though. If nobody heard you the first time, count yourself lucky, don't say it again!

37. They have been aatcking Dean and his supporters for months now
The whole basis of Kerry's candidacy of late has been that he is "Electable."

But if he keeps up that "Bring it On" chant, you can bet he will lose---big time.

It is, wthout a doubt, the WORST slogan EVER.

That and the bit about the door hitting Bush on the way out.

Maybe the first time it was OK, but after a million boring repetitions, it has become an embarrassment.

36. I have a theory that this assault on the frontrunner is a freeper invasion
I don't see how all of this constant anti-Dean sentiment all of a sudden turned into a constant anti-Kerry sentiment overnight. I think that a large number of these people who are attacking Kerry and used to attack Dean are freepers who have infiltrated the board. I'm sure there are some people who are genuinely democrats that are truly anti-Kerry and anti-Dean but I don't think the number is as high as it seems.
