I am not a CLARK fan!
I am not a fan (which is a derivative of the word fanatic) . I have never seen a person in politics so honest as Wes Clark. I can see why he was such a good commander of his troops, and how he inspires such dedication in people. I hope his mannerisms and ideals influence how all Americans behave. The me first attitude has ruined the fiber of our country. We rape each other more, kill each other more, rob each other more and feel more justified being violent and uncaring to wards one another. How can we ever expect to evolve as a species if we continue on this path? Now there are a few dinosaurs like me out there, that actually care about other human beings out there. However that is not the vast majority. I recognize a kindred spirit in this regard, in Wes Clark. He is honor and integrity in a time when that is a position that needs defending. I will defend him and pay him back with the same respect he gives other human beings. I guess thats it in a nutshell.

2. He does have integrity..
and I don't for the life of me understand the Democrats who accuse him of being a Republican operative or an opportunist.

He is clearly not winning any GOP friends by speaking out the way he has against Bush and the cabal in Washington, and as for opportunism... he would have been much better off financially taking a cushy job in the revolving door of the Pentagon and the defense industry. He chose a path of public service, as he appears to have throughout his adult life.

6. I agree...
I respect and like Clark a great deal. I find him to be very impressive when walking and talking amongst the people, he seems very down to earth yet gentlemanly. He's genuine.

of integrity, honesty, and high intelligence as well. He would make a fine president.

I was especially impressed to hear how concerned he was over the ethnic cleansing taking place in Rwanda in the mid '90s. He lobbied hard, unsuccesfuly, for the administration to intervene. Ultimately, the US didn't...Around 500,000 people were killed.

Clinton himself admits to this day, that this is one of his biggest regrets.

10. Wow. Didn't know that.
At least he was lucky the second time around regarding Kosovo, along with Albright and Holbrooke.

8. Clark's ok.
I might wish for a few different qualities in him, but he's ok. I'd vote for him if it came to it.

9. Here's my nutshell....
I believe Wesley Clark is a compassionate person who truly cares about what is happening to the average person in this country. He's not running for president because he wants the power of the top office in the land. He's running for president because people went to him and asked him to step forward and fight for his country once again. He could have said no, I've given my country enough, but he didn't. Why? I think it's because Wesley Clark has a deep and abiding love for this country and it's people and he could not turn down a call to help us.

Go Wes!

12. I was speaking with a friend
an elderly Lakota woman; she said she likes Clark as a person, but feels uneasy because of his "general" background. I asked her if she would feel uneasy with a Crazy Horse or Sitting Bull? Of course not. He is not a god, nor a demi-god. He's a human being, and is simply the best bet for putting our nation back on the track that men like John and Robert Kennedy had started us upon all those years ago.
