I've known James Webb for years and he is the real deal. He is entitled to wear multiple Purple Hearts, the Bronze Star with "V" for valor, the Silver Star, and the Navy Cross (Which is just one level below the Congressional Medal of Honor.) I wonder how long it will take for some chickenhawk shit-stain of a Republican to begin questioning HIS service.

2. As a retired Swabbie

who served while Webb was SECNAV, I found him a bit right of center for my tastes, however, he was a take charge guy (Marine training.) His editorial is right on the money and possibly a result of some introspection. I truly hope the swift boat cowardly bastards have Webb in their sites. The more publicity that scum bunch of garbage receive the better. The cowards chose not to return one email from this retired Chief Petty Officer during their unamerican performance in the summer of 2004.

This veteran will never vote for a republican for any office. Republicans and their supporters are the number one enemy of the constitution which I swore to support and defend.
