Gotta be true, I read it in this morning's Newspaper.
Maybe DU gotsit all wrong, ya think? -- Me neither. At least he didn't blame Clinton for anything. This has to be beyond willful ignorance. Mental illness?

John Aron Trandem letter: DeLay is a victim of Democrats’ plans
Published Tuesday, January 17, 2006
Tom Delay is the latest victim of the Democrats’ strategy to win back power. Yep, it looks like they did it again. It seems that the people least worried about Democrats ever winning elections again are the Democrats themselves.
How is it possible that a party which has seen its share of success in the past, albeit the distant past, can’t construct a better victory plan than they have. I guess conservatives should be thankful that they put all of their effort into finger pointing and creating scandals (with the help of the media) rather than recruiting good candidates who can mask their agenda long enough to be elected. I’m sure it will only be a matter of time before some other unwitting Republican will say something which can be taken out of context ala Trent Lott and be driven from the leadership.
It would seem like the unconventional tactics Republicans used to defeat Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., could be far more effective in making real advances, but hey, John Thune ran on issues Americans supported. How is a Democrat going to do that? Raising taxes, surrendering to terrorists, killing more babies, character assassination, confiscating your inheritance, driving companies they don’t like out of business, taking your guns, preventing the harvest of our own natural resources, holding down the poor, nationalizing health care, appointing liberal judges, kicking God out of America, affirmative action, desperately seeking food stamp recipients, standing in the way of development in the interest of protecting some insect, banning fishing, driving up healthcare costs with frivolous lawsuits, opposing punishment for violent offenders on the grounds of their bad childhood, or their top issue, hating George Bush. Would any of those work as a platform? Not in this country.
How can Democrats be looked at as mainstream when their actions and beliefs are so terribly far to the left while calling Republicans, who in my view are already too liberal, radicals?
Democrats may have won this fight, dirty as it was, but Republicans will continue to win the larger battle in 2006.
