When opportunity knocks, don't say, "Who's there?
Al Gore has given the Democrats running for re-election a message and an opportunity to take back the House and the Senate. Our Constitution is under attack. The President has broken the law. The Patriot Act shoud be voted down as it presently exists. This Congress has been a rubberstamp for the White House. What more do they need? Take that message to the people and we may even win back the Senate.

1. How soon they all forget.
Walter Cronkite called for a Constitutional Convention with a op-ed in the NY Times a few months ago. And a lot of us have been calling for a Glue Party to piece the pieces of paper of the Constitution back together again.

That is not to minimize the speech of Al Gore. Maybe Bill Clinton will give us a State of the Union speech in one of those save the country gesture type of things.

I wish somebody would ask Walter Cronkite what he thought of the speech. Then again, I wish Al Gore would have mentioned Walter Cronkite and his call for a Constitutional Convention.

2. It would be a huge help
if network news had an inkling that a door had been knocked on and had passed on any of the information about it to their viewers.

Alas, they're still lying by omission to cover the ass of the worst excuse for a human being ever to occupy the White House. Until this changes, I don't think we can talk about golden opportunities arising from speeches. Most people don't know a word has been uttered.
