Democrat, Again, Always.
Edited on Fri Jan-13-06 08:53 PM by Brundle_Fly
I posted a rant here last night, that I wrote in a tizzy of emotion, where I was freaking out from the weight of about pretty much everything. I had great responses from the crew here on DU, that with a night of good sleep, has reinforced my resolve.

Yes things can look quite bleak, especially in today's America, but I have the knowledge that at least 50% of We, the people agree that * is a tyrant, and it's growing! He is making too many mistakes, his Congress is crumbling, the e-voting fiasco is gaining traction, his lies are being questioned, and like an onion, as the layers are peeled away, the stench of the inner core is becoming apparent.

Yes, I had a moment of weakness, and I know you all are having them from time to time too, but understand this, we are going to win, Whistle-blowers are starting to come out of the woodwork, the * smear machine, cannot keep up. I sense that in the future we will take back the congress and senate, and if we don't it will raise such a fury in our voting system it could indeed topple the government, Regardless.

Once we have a small piece of the power pie back in sensible hands, I imagine the facade of the POTUS will be stripped away, and the real truth of many many lies will come to the forefront. These clowns think they had it all beaten, they do not, this is still a democracy, and the people still have the power to change it for the better.

I know this, and I apologize for my moment of weakness.

Where do you need me, I am ready for the upcoming fight.

1. I've felt a little down lately, a bit hopeless.
I feel the slippery slope under my feet.

I'm tired, but not giving up -

I wish we could hear from Fitz already.

Democrat, always.

4. i'd like to think so brundle...
but how many times can you be set up for heartbreak before it finally slaps you down for good. I was SURE Downing Street would bring them down. I was SURE Wilson/Plame would bring them down. I was SURE Fitzmas would bring them down. To ask for all of them happen at once? Heck, I just want one to happen...like it's supposed to!

3. Way to go Brundle !!!
A couple months ago this place was on top of the world and everyone was expressing what a wonderful day it was to be a PROUD DEMOCRAT.

That was the night that Democrats won big in New Jersey and Virginia and every single one of Ahnuld's ammendments went down in flames.

This place was rocking!!

A month prior to that, we were all in complete unison as we watched in shock and horror the pathetic way that Bush and his administration handled Hurricane Katrina.

Fast forward to January 12th and the end of the "Scalito" hearings.

Wow.

If anything, we need to pull together and work like hell for 2006 now more than ever!

I sure understand the frustration of the DU'er who said farewell and left for the Green Party. That's their prerogative..

I'll go down with the ship if I have to. But like you, I really do see a light at the end of the tunnel.

(And no.. I don't think the light I see is an on-coming train! )

I'm glad you're not going anywhere Brundle Fly! ~~~~~

6. I'm not married to any political party, but I will try to beef up the Dems
since they are the only alternative presently. Being "loyal" to a party is silly. Sometimes they don't deserve loyalty. I'll stay only as long as it seems like the prudent thing to do.

8. Um, not. :)
I just reserve the right to remain flexible and seek the truth, which is what led me to change political affiliations before. There is no room for dogma and undeserved loyalty in a truth-based life.
