Current Headline at WaPo: "After Abramoff, GOP Regroups"
"House Republicans move to find a leader better equipped to deal with a growing scandal."

It's the same old story.

Democrats Move to Lead the People.

Republicans Move to Cover their Corruption.

3. WashPost wants us to think in terms of moving on - typical GOP spin
in their headlines.

5. One more adept at coverup and treachery
One more evil and loathsome than tom delay. One more republicanesque than the hammer himself. No doubt they can find such a monster amngst their numbers.

6. Just once, I'd like to see . . .
Just for once, can we see all of these headlines about the GOP "regrouping" or Bush's poll numbers "rebounding" preceded by similar headlines about the GOP being "shattered" or Bush's poll numbers "plummeting"? Instead, it's always up and up, often wrong, but never in doubt for the GOP.

Just tell the story straight, Washington Post. And you'll see the GOP "regroup" in a fucking phone booth.

8. I'd describe this period as "pre-Abramoff" or "during Abramoff"
Other than Safavian or "Duke" Cunningham, no-one's been indicted yet.

9. That is hilarious. The scandal is in full throttle and they
Edited on Fri Jan-06-06 10:08 AM by ProSense
write a headline as if it's over. What do they know that we don't? The scope of the Bush/DeLay/Abramoff network of corruption is so extensive it boggles the mind. Time for an independent investigator, Congressional inquires, whatever it takes. These people must be made to pay for their crimes. This is only the beginning.
