If SCOTUS overturns Roe or gives President unfettered power
why wouldn't we protest the offices and homes of these judges? If Supreme Court justices think they can take away our rights and then go home to their nice, peaceful existence while poor or raped women are being forced to have babies or are having dangerous illegal abortions, well, we just have to verbally express our dismay, won't we?? If they want to allow the president unfettered power to eavesdrop on us, to put us in prison for years without due process, then why would they be immune to the voices of displeasure outside? If they want to be political, then they better be prepared to deal with the protests.

Story about abortion in Indiana that led to this:

1. If Alito is confirmed, I'll be looking to emigrate.
Lets face it - the dems have allowed the repukes to push through all kinds of draconian legislation that favors the rich, massive corporate welfare, and huge cuts to social programs. Sure, they don't control congress - BUT the senate provides procedures for the minority party to block such things with parliamentary procedures - which they have NOT done. Meanwhile the DLC contingent in the house votes with the repukes on such decimating things like CAFTA and bankruptcy "reform". We're getting shafted and I don't see the opposition party opposing much. If they allow Alito through confirmation, it's going to be a dark age for America. And I really doubt anyone will be taking to the streets to protest this or that the dems will shut down te senate to stop more egregious repuke legislation. What happened to "phase 2"? Reid isn't calling any more closed sessions, the dems are letting us down. I hope I'm proved wrong, really I do. But it's hard not to be cynical considering everything the repukes have gotten away with.

3. I agree with what you say
I said on another thread the other night that I think many Dems are as much in the pocket of the corporations as the repubs are.

2. Well, having
an abortion is about the get a lot more costly and out of the reach of most poor women who can't afford a bus ticket to a blue state to have the procedure.

This just makes my blood boil.
