going along with Shrub's spy program. IMHO this is a pretty big development. Dems need to come back early and get the ball rolling on impeachment.

3. It's been all over the MSM the last couple days

Justice dept officials refused to approve bush's request to place a wiretap so his aides went to Ashcroft to get approval, even though Ashcroft was in the hospital for gall bladder surgery.

The point of the story was that they disturbed him while he was sick. I am no fan of Asscroft but I think that is pretty repulsive. If my employer came to me with a work problem while I was in the hospital, I would be more than a bit offended. I know when I heard this, I wondered if it had something to do with Asscroft resigning.
