Should Democrats call for an immediate Amendment to the FISA law..?
And if so, what would it say?

What could it say that it doesn't already say? What more could be done, other than outright repeal, to give the executive branch everything they say they "need"?

Perhaps they could ask for some input from the White House? :)

1. I say we should abolish the FISA court.
They always been merely a RUBBER stamp against other atrocities, committed in our name.

Abolish the Patriot Act
Abolish the FISA court
Abolish the 1947 National Security Act
Abolish the Electoral College System
Abolish Corporate Personhood.

Do these five things, and we can be on our way to restoring our full liberties and a genuine march to democracy.

3. We Should Call for IMPEACHMENT!
If anything, the FISA law sets the barrier for spying too low.
They were able to get warrants to spy on the Quakers.
There needs to be more protection against that kind of abuse.

The fact is, the pResident broke the existing law.
He admitted that he broke it. Why?
With judges on call 24x7 to issue warrants, why break the law to go around them?

Are their targets so obviously political that even the FISA court
would have turned them down?

Are they actually implementing Poindexter's wet dream of "Total Information Awareness"
despite having been expressly forbidden to do so by Congress?
(A Republican Congress at that).

5. Democrats should call for an immediate impeachment.
Not censure.. Censure gives the Republicans a get out of jail free card on this. They will censure him and sweep it under the rug.
