Blame Clinton
Bill Kristol was on TV today saying that he wished that Clinton had tapped the phone of Mohommad Atta. These people are just stupid. I always wonder when these people will stop blaming Clinton for all the problems of this country. I has been five years since Clinton left office and they still blame him for all the problems. Bush had no right to spy on American citizens. In addition, even without tapping anyone's phone the Clinton Administration was able to leave Bush with all the information they needed to stop the 9/11 terrorist. Bush should have just paid attention to the real terrorists instead of trying to find a way to attack Iraq.

1. Unfortunately, not surprising
It's typical Republican M.O.

When you know you don't have the facts on your side, and when all else fails, blame Clinton.

They very conveniently forget that Bill Clinton when after the terrorists, and prevented the Millenium plot against LAX.

3. accepting responsibility is a sign of maturity........
........and that's why they blame Clinton, it's much easier to blame the other guy than it is to admit all of the screw ups are your fault!! And Bush has never impressed me as a mature (wise) individual.

And Clinton did deal effectively with terrorism. At least we didn't have a terrorist attack in this country during his term. And remember when Rice said 'who could've imagined people flying planes into buildings?' Well, Clinton imagined it!! In fact, Clarke said that they planned for exactly that scenario.......which may be why it didn't happen during his watch.

And since the Bush administration was given a lot of information on what the Clinton administration did regarding terrorism and chose to ignore it, why should we believe that they will use their spying info any differently? Meaning that even if it does give them something valuable, they'll still find a way to screw it up.......as they always do!

4. Or, could it be....

this is a staged war between Clintons and neocons to make it look like they have major differences of opinion?

6. Atta was not a US citizen
So the comparison is false. Neocons never tell the truth.
