After meeting with Bush, Lieberman affirms Iraq-war support

_ After meeting with President Bush this morning, Senator Joe Lieberman reaffirmed his support for the Iraq war, saying the president's recent speeches do indeed add up to a "plan for success."

Lieberman's remarks were broadcast from a mid-morning press conference with other senators in front of the White House. Bush and the senators discussed yesterday's Iraqi elections.

Lieberman says the nation is in Iraq to protect the rights of 26 million people to "a better life" against 10,000 to 15,000 terrorists.

-snip-

Lieberman has been the focus of some criticism by Connecticut Democrats. They say a prominent Democrat supporting the Iraq war has given more legitimacy to the administration's position than it otherwise would have.

4. May his endeavors to run for political office be hopelessly
bogged down in the grinding wheels that will end the bush presidency and may he reap the full benefits of that association with the crooks in the White House.

5. How dumb is this guy?

Allying himself with a President whose ratings are in the toilet in an effort to, what, attract Conservative
voters? Why would Conservatives vote for ANY Democrat when there are Republicans to vote for? Has he not
noticed the fate of similar turn-coat Zell Miller?
