Was Bush using the NSA to spy on DEMOCRATS?
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 10:59 AM by Joanne98
And if he was, will the cowardly, spineless Dems DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT?
I have no doubt Bush, Cheney and Rove have been wiretapping the phones of their political opposition. These are the same people who RIGGED THE VOTING MACHINES! We've been having FAKE elections for five years now. Bush hasn't been president one single day in his corrupt life. I have no doubt that Bush cronies in the NSA have been listening to members of Congress for YEARS now. Will the Dems finally wake up and put a stop to this "IN YOUR FACE" GOP crime wave? This isn't about the "war on terror" this is about the WAR ON AMERICANS. There's only one thing to do!
IMPEACH THE MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!I know we aren't the majority BUT we can at least CALL for IMPEACHMENT hearings. I say let's get this show on the road. Better late than never.

Nothing like knowing what the political opposition is planning to help you undermine them. They say 500-1000 people were spied upon. I call bullshit on that. If the members of congress were among them we have to know.

I wouldn't put it past them to have a nixon-style "enemies list" that they compiled.

It seems like it has caused a stir in DC, but lets see if that stir leads to something more substantial.

And the fucking New York Times!!!

12. I read GWB has enemies list of 10,000 names
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 11:44 AM by MissWaverly
By DOUG THOMPSON - Publisher, Capitol Hill Blue

Nov 8, 2005 - Spurred by paranoia and aided by the USA Patriot Act, the Bush Administration has compiled dossiers on more than 10,000 Americans it considers political enemies and uses those files to wage war on those who disagree with its policies. The “enemies list” dates back to Bush’s days as governor of Texas and can be accessed by senior administration officials in an instant for use in campaigns to discredit those who speak out against administration policies or acts of the President. The computerized files include intimate personal details on members of Congress; high-ranking local, state and federal officials; prominent media figures and ordinary citizens who may, at one time or another, spoken out against the President or Administration.

15. I'd bet that you are correct on your thinking.
Terrorists? doubtful....why not use the tools already available? Democrats? Maybe, but how big a threat are they?

Fitzgerald? Yeah, this would be something that is a real security threat....to the Republican Syndicate and this administration. They couldn't get a court order to spy on Fitzgerald, but they could cook up an internal justification and cover to use the resources available to listen in on the progress of the case. I don't doubt this for a moment.

23. The terrorists are the best thing that ever happened to them...
If they are spying on them at all, it's just to make sure nobody catches them. That's probably why we still can't find Osama. Rove probably lets him know when the military gets too close. "Hello Osama, this is Karl". "You got to move again, dude".

10. This is what I've been thinking, as well.
Der Fuehrer and Darth Cheney wouldn't be able to resist exerting illegal power over their foes. All we have to do is look at the pattern of abuse, and then you realize it's not much of a stretch to believe they spied on the political opposition.

Bushitler Rules of Administration:

Everything they say is a lie.
If they have a choice between crooked or honest, they choose crooked.
If it's illegal, cover it up and threaten people to keep it quiet.
Pay the press to sing your tune.
If anyone objects to a fascist state, accuse them of conspiring with Al Qaeda.
Spread money wisely to enhance your power.
Buy elections to keep your power.
Spit on the little guy and hope he dies.
Use the US military as your own personal army and PR fodder.
If you screw up, blame everyone else.
The only thing that matters is you, and destroying the country is OK as long as YOU benefit.
Make sure your cronies get big government contracts so they can kick it back to YOU (YOU are all important).
Despise anyone who doesn't worship YOU.
Silence all dissent in favor of what YOU want.
Destroy the Constitution to do what YOU want.
Protect people who worship YOU.
Ignore checks and balances as if they don't exist, and co-opt their power to benefit only YOU.
Ignore the needs of American citizens (like Katrina survivors - who are THEY?) to fulfill the needs of YOU.
If the law doesn't help, use torture.
Disappearing people is fun.

I could go on because the list is endless, but I think we all know what Bushitler is all about.

will the Dems DO ANYTHING???

I have yet to figure out just how and why these people keep getting away with all this corruption. Does anyone have a GOOD answer... it NEVER seems to stop??? And they've never had to answer for ANYTHING as yet!!! I've been so frustrated for so long that I generally just listen to the stuff and say, Oh Well!!

Not one to sit on the sidelines in the past, I've come to a place where it's almost Ho-Hum anymore. I've tried on so many occasions to sign petitions, write letters, call Congressmen, join groups, march and do whatever I've felt would be of some use, but it still NEVER stops. So what's next?? Stand on our heads and spit WOODEN NICKLES???

America has been hijacked and fleeced and very few are doing very much about it!! A Super Power?? Only if you live in the WH or if you follow right behind them!! It's nothing more than a Monarchy anymore... Gee perhaps we should go back to England!!! At least they have "question time" over there!

TORTURE somewhere?

Condi Rice pushed back this morning on the Today show and, shock of shocks, defended the president's secret order.

"I'm not going to comment on intelligence matters," she told NBC's "Today" show. But Rice did say that President Bush "has always said he would do everything he can to protect the American people, but within the law, and with due regard for civil liberties because he takes seriously his responsibility."
"The president acted lawfully in every step that he has taken," Rice said, "to defend the American people and to defend the people within his constitutional responsibility."

I think Condi TALKS too fucking much....

Congress should subpoena any recordings made in the Oval office ... unless the Congress is given access to bush's recordings, as they were given access to Nixon's, the American people will never know what laws have been broken ...

the burden should be on those who broke the law to prove that they did not use illegal surveillance to corrupt the political process ...
