Karen Huge is EVERYWHERE. I turn off Blitzer to get away from
her asswipe talk and she pops up on Hardball.

Not one question about her disastrous trip to Central America with the corporate bunch last week.

Miss Karen Hughes will say anything to protect her master. No lie is too vile.

Get used to it--
we know the B*shwipe is dependent on her. So far every trip she's made has been a disaster. She is totally out of it when it comes to cultural sensitivity. That is why I'm thinking * will name her as Secy of State if he puts Condi-liar into the Dickie Bird's seat.

4. I had to turn away from Hardball, too. Chrissie was disgusting.
How much he admires Bush for going out and explaining the war. Another suck up to power. Maybe he, Bob Woodward, Judy Miller and Viveca Novak can get together for some bridge sometime. Oh, and Karen Hughes was laughably obvious with her talking points. Now, there's spin. And it worked on Matthews, anyway.

33. Did you watch Hardball after she left?
An interesting thing was Brian Williams talking about his interview with bush. He said there were protesters outside the hotel. They were yelling "Shame, shame" so loudly it could be heard inside. To be able to do the interview they had to put mattresses over the windows to block the sound.

17. Amen
I don't want to sound snobby, but the TV media have gotten so bad that I only watch TV news when I happen to be staying in a hotel, or house sitting, say; I don't even own a TV. Even then, I only watch it to get a 'sampling' of its current state. As I probably tune into the likes of CNN, MS NBC or the Networks once very three months or so at max, I do perhaps get a better perspective on how it has degenerated and to what degree. (I.e., I may notice things that might have escaped me if I watched it daily.) for the last few years practically every time I find so much to appall me.

Frontline I can always stream on the net. When you watch this show, you see what real TV journalism is like. Imagine if the rest of the TV media were of this quality... (Sigh.)

Robert

19. I have two televisions...
It is really not accurate to say that I watch NO television; I watch CSI about four times a year, and the weather channel when there are storms.

11. She's writing Bush's speeches these days, from the sound of it.
The press has a noted a "different tone" in his readings. I'm guessing Karen has stepped in as lead writer/editor for an embattled Rove. Notice the shift from "terrorists everywhere(!)" to the almost evangelical "spreading democracy" throughout the Middle East...

(aside) I caught part of her appearance with Chris Mathews on Hardball. It's a pet peeve of mine, to say the least, across the media spectrum - she didn't answer a direct question and Mr. Mathews chose not to follow up...

32. She was on Hardball yesterday still plugging Iraq/9-11 link
I couldn't believe they're pushing Bushbot Karen out there to (still) perpetuate a false link between the invasion of Iraq and 9-11, but since this was Matthews' show I wasn't surprised. It made me so pissed I had to turn off the show. Hardball has become nothing more than a podium for neocon propaganda.
