Has the US ever rejected any UN resolutions unilaterally ?
Of course, they do have a veto that countries such as Iraq never had, but how many other countries besides Iraq have rejected any UN resolutions? Has Israel rejected any resolutions? Has Russia? Why is it a big deal when Bush keeps saying that Saddam rejected "UN resolutions"?

1. Israel has refused to comply with a boatload
assuming of course, that any such resolution got past our veto. Our mission to the U.N. has been, in large part, dedicated to the shielding of Israel, for good or ill, from the scrutiny of the world. Our U.N. policy has been "Israel, right or wrong." Sorta like "My Momma, drunk or sober."

2. Well, resolutions of the UN general assembley aren't really binding
UN treaties are supposed to be binding to the signatories.
But the US has applied its veto in the security council, so to the Russians.

It's just cherry-picking, Bush_hates_ the UN. It is a potential source of international regulation. Thus it threatens global neocolonialism/I mean free markets.

3. Does that mean it's all just a big bag of bullshit?
He keeps saying over and over, and all the right wingers say it, that Saddam refused to go along with the UN resolutions. Of course, I do recall that he did let inspectors in at the end but Bush said they could not find the WMDs, and Rumsfeld said he knew where they were, and the inspectors were withdrawn and they invaded...

4. Two of our biggest buddies, Israel and Turkey......
Are the two biggest UN resolution violators.

I may be mistaken, but I did a little research a couple of years ago and that's what I came up with.

5. Are you talking SC resolutions or General Assembly
The US ignores General Assembly resolutions routinely, though they are non-binding on member states and therefore pretty meaningless.

In the Security council, as you note, our veto prevents them from enacting any resolutions that flatly call on the US to do anything we don't want to do. However, we've ignored many resolutions in the sense of continuing decisive support for condemned operations, such as in 1978 when the SC called on Israel to withdraw immediately from Lebanon. We didn't veto that resolution but we continued to support the occupation.
