The Independent's short trip from waking up to voting: cartoon
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 12:45 AM by Neil Lisst
The American Independent Voter

Oh, they want you to think they're "independent." Really, they're apolitical and uninformed. They nod off between elections, then a month before the electon, they are easy targets for the slick TV campaigns bought by special interest money.

Today's Neil Lisst political cartoon follows the independent on his short journey from waking up to voting.

2. Glad you like it. I blame THEM for campaign finance.
The only reason TV commercials work is because there are people who are so uninformed, so refusing to pay attention, that they have to sold like it's a new fragrance or pickup truck.

Oy!

5. Why's it called Hiber-Nation?
Because these folks go to sleep between elections, therefore we call them the Hiber-Nation.

7. Here are both cartoons together.
Here are both cartoons together. They're really a pair, and need to be read together.

8. As Kate Moss might say "last bump of the day!"
I'm duty bound to kick this every few hours, since the cartoon changes in 3 hours.
