LTTE: Some Christians are liberals
Some Christians are liberals

Editor:
As a committed Christian, I was distressed by the headline, “Group defends Christian values in the courts” (Reading Eagle, Nov. 26).
The article made it clear that the values promoted by the Alliance Defense Fund are part of a conservative political agenda, and they are values that I do not share.
While I do not doubt the sincerity of this group’s convictions, it does not speak for all Christians. It is possible to be a faithful Christian and a political liberal. In fact, some of us believe that to be a follower of Jesus demands it.

1. Headline should put in quotation marks.
Unless the lawsuit has as one of it's issues some aspect of the Sermon on the Mount, ie, "is it true that the peacemakers are blessed". But I suspect it was somthing like forcing the kids in school to sing christmas carols.

5. Actually, back then there was no such thing
as liberal or conservative.

Also, I doubt that Jesus would've wanted to be associated with any political group. However, I agree he would've been much more likely to be liberal
