AL Sharpton on fire tonight !?
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 11:08 PM by cushla_machree
or is that just me. I thought he did great. I love some of the points he brought up.

I also like how Sharpton and Kucinich say they will stick through the primaries regardless of 'big wins.' I think they have an important message, and they bring it out of the other canidates.

I do not like how the DNC whats to edge everyone out but the frontrunners. I say let everyone have a chance to make thier decision. Though i don't expect either of them to get the nomination, i love how they continue to push, perhaps they will build momentum for change in this party. any thoughts?

i didn't see the no excessive caps rule. mistake i swear!

I figured excessive punctutation just refered to the body, not the actual title itself.

4. Get rid of the caps in the subject and yes I agree..see inside
Sharpton was great and so was DK.
"I think they have an important message, and they bring it out of the other canidates. "

Right on! Did you notice when Dennis explained why we truly NEED single payer UHC that Brokaw(that as him right?) then geared his next health care question towards single payer?

Would the candidates even be discussing REAL issues if Sharpton and Kucinich were not in the race?

9. i doubt it
I miss braun in the race as well. Those three really made me remember why Im proud to be a liberal. Its gotten to the point where Ive been debating switching from independent to green party. I feel like the democrats have just been bending over backwards for the republicans.

Get Mad!

We have every right to be, starting with when liberal bashing began with reagan, up to the whole clinton fiasco, the 2000 election, and the whole BUSH II reign.

Im not talking irrational anger, but send them some punches. they deserve it. I was so dissapointed watching kerry the other day on either CNN or MSNBC. I think he was asked about bush's awol status, and his answers where just dissapointing. he just brushed it aside, he could have said its a legit concern, i just don't know the answers. instead he was just "thats not what my campaign is based on" or something.

Im not gonna lie, i think bush and his junta are evil. and i don't think I'm that far off base. I have to give props to Dean for bringing up cheny meeting with CIA before the war. i hope the repubs are getting nervous!

5. I loved his answer to Brokaw's question on the Dixie flag
That was great. He said the flag represented racism, slavery, and rape and nothing will change that.

10. nothing ever will in my opinion either
Face it, do the Germans wave nazi flags around because they are proud of their "heritage." Or proud of their ancestors who fought bravely for hitlers germany? don't think so.

courageously some of the german's did fight, just as the confederate soldiers did. But, why wave around the flag in public buildings and put stickers on your cars?

Its insulting to me as a northener, and Im pretty sure every black american feels insulted as well.

perhaps i come down to hard on these "patriotic" confederate flag waving southeners. But every time i go south, i can't even tell you how many times im called a 'yankee' like its a bad thing. cleary they just haven't gotten over the war.

we have an AMERICAN flag. ugh!

8. He has clearly won every debate.
That is my opinion. The guy tells it exactly like it is, and with amazing style. It makes me wonder how the news people can always say so and so (not Sharpton) won the debate with a straight face.

11. They're great. I'd like to have Dennis debate Bush.
They would certainly do the best in a debate with Bush.
