"...All the better if this transformation is sped by dissatisfaction from corporate leaders re-evaluating the costs of Bush foreign policy and deciding that empire just doesn't pay. "

1. bad link. As a person well within the business world....
I will say that Bush is bad for the economy in the long run.

4. Repaired Link:

"In this context, it's not surprising that Republican realists like Brent Scowcroft (who warned in a Wall Street Journal essay before the war that "it undoubtedly would be very expensive, with serious consequences for the U.S. and global economy") are making noise again. And it would make perfect sense if an increasing number of those Bush CEOs were by now pining for a return to Clinton- style multilateral globalization of a sort still championed by many Democrats."

5. Thank you both for the repaired links. I don't know why this didn't go
from the one I tried to post. Weird. Anyways, please read this DUers since Dems may be able to do what DeLay tried to do with K Street, that is, make sure that D's this time instead of R's get most of the lobbyist money.

The D's need to do it ethically, however, not like the R's did it by shutting off companies etc who wouldn't deal with them. In the long run the lobbyists will figure out for themselves that D's are the ones to deal with...up front.
