Copout line #1: In every war, mistakes are made...
No. That's bullshit. These aren't just mistakes. This is ideology gone wild. This is a bunch of arrogant assholes with no war experience refusing to listen to those with it.

1. Doncha just LOVE the PASSIVE voice, from the so=called party of
responsibility? I heard McCain spewing that nonsense today on the talking head show, and I kept wondering, WHO? WHO made the "mistakes?" Don't tell me they were made, and not tell me who made them! Of course, we all know WHO, but his weaselly way of sloughing off responsibility just torqued me no end.

And a couple of thousand dead kids, and countless wounded, seems like a pretty damn big "mistake" to me....we aren't talking about the dog pooping on the carpet, that is a mistake...what is happening in our country, and to our service personnel, is nothing short of a crime.

3. Its the use of the passive voice
"mistakes are made'...like its some unknown group who made 'mistakes'

Use of the active voice would be more accurate: "George Bush* and his neo-con minions invaded a country after having lied to get congress and the american people to go along with it. Then the predictable outcome of armed resistance to occupation blew up in their stupid faces. Now they are too dimwitted to see that this is unwinnable and are too proud to admit that their policies were cravenly insane and they won't leave. George Bush* and his neo-cons and neo-con enablers (including Hillary) are murdering tens of thousands of people for pride and hubris"

7. The entire premise is wrong because the war itself is a mistake
We launched an unprovoked, mistaken, illegal, immoral war....but we'll keep it going a while longer for the hell of it.
