or by the latest bat scare, missing white girls, celebrity babies, TV sitcoms, product promos, etc.???

Not meaning "you" here, but in general I think this is why/how we "miss" stories or don't remember them--too much useless and stupid crap, like this latest war on war on Xmas, gets way too much of our attention.

Or somewhere around that date. By a vote of 98-2 in the Senate. That's right, John Negroponte, was confirmed 98-2. Which was at least the 2nd time being confirmed by such a large margin. I think he was confirmed by a similar vote for the UN or Iraq. Maybe both.
