They were calling all over the state to get people to this $1000 "luncheon" with photo ops sold for $5000. Some of the big companies must have twisted arms to get employees to pony up the dollars and I wouldn't be surprised if folks weren't driven in from the Colorado Springs area. :eyes:
Also, George said she had been targeted by "special interest" groups. Right, like Focus on the Family, Americans for Life, all the anti gay groups, the put your hands on the TV set prayer in public school groups....she's been targeted alright.
"Musgrave thanked Bush for his support, saying she was proud to be one of the few members of Congress to get personal support from the president for next year’s elections. With Tuesday’s total, she has raised about $1.5 million for next year’s election campaign.
Her only announced Democratic challenger, state Rep. Angie Paccione of Fort Collins, expects to raise $100,000 by the end of this year."
