2. Of course the problem is

All of those threads make great reading but are archived so you can't exactly join in a discussion over there, and there is nothing much here to discuss except some links, lol. This is the first time I've had a thread with more recommend votes than posts!

Well, I pulled this together because people get tired of reading fights between people over possible candidates, but I think it is valuable to know why people develop strong feelings for them in the first place. I think these threads answer that about Wes Clark without much game playing getting in the way.

3. Maybe you could cross post this in the Clark forum.

Just a suggestion. Maybe it wouldn't get lost so fast there, since GD-P can be pretty fast moving sometimes. I think if this were posted in the Clark forum as well, more people would be able to see it, and there would be more opportunity for discussion. Again, just a suggestion! :)

I wonder how many people go to the candidate supporters groups if they do not already know and back those Democrats already? Well,I'm some some do. And you are right that it won't sink as fast over there.

7. I sometimes visit the various forums of the Democrats

who have forums on DU. Sometimes I'm just looking to learn more about someone (potential candidate or not), sometimes I'm looking for positive news about a particular Democrat free from the snarkiness that sometimes accompanies such threads in GD/GD-P, or sometimes I just want to get a better idea of why people support certain folks. Sometimes I'm successful in my quest, sometimes I'm disappointed that many of the forums are underutilized. Maybe I'm strange. Anyway, thanks for posting!

9. I've done that too, but not that frequently

When go into a supporters group I sometimes worry that I am stepping into someone else's living room unannounced, and I feel like I have to be extremely careful to be on my very best behavior. On the other hand it can be difficult to have reasoned conversations about a specific Democrat in the open forums, without having the discussion hijacked somewhere completely unintended. I go into those groups now most often if there is breaking news regarding that Democrat, to see if there is a different take on it being discussed there, but usually I stay in the open forums.

Your suggestion to cross post though was a good one, and I did so. Thanks again.

17. The funny thing is I didn't have all of these bookmarked myself

I meant to but I forgot to bookmark two of them. I had to use the advanced Search function to find them because I did remember they were here somewhere.
