4. 28% = Criminal gulity of treason, murder, etc.
:woohoo:

Sad actually to think that a President of the United States of America still in the job has such a low approval rating.

I'd say it is time to fire this lowly lying SOB, how about you?

:kick:

17. Not posted to their website anyway
Last poll had shrub at 36%, so if true, he is in true freefall.

8. How does this stack up with Nixon?
Y'know, just before he quit, when he was walking aroud the White House at night talking to the pictures of the dead presidents, and asking Kissinger to kneel down and pray with him. I want to start hearing stories about * crying for mommy, cussing at the staff and hitting the bottle. I think this guy is way too emotionally fragile for the job they gave him and it's just a matter of time until the ultimate meltdown!!!

9. I think Thanksgiving dinner talks, when everyone finally compared
notes, was a killer for Bush. Then again, for some of these people, not having the TV on while they argue is a killer for Bush.

18. I don't know why I've put this off the previous four Christmases(?)
What the hell is the Plural for Christmas anyway? Christmasi? Christmasen?

Anyway, I've often thought it would be a great idea to send him a lump of coal. Of course in previous years I thought I'd get a knock on the door from the SS, but in retrospect... it would probably get me a free trip to Cuba.

15. You actually gave me reason to visit foxnews.com.
I go there less often than I go to freerepublic! And of course the presidential approval rating poll was tough to find; it certainly wasn't on the front page anywhere.

Unfortunately when I finally found it, it still shows him at 36% overall, which happens to be the lowest Fox has ever had him. But perhaps some good news in the poll I finally found: those numbers were from Nov. 8-9. Looks like they haven't updated the web page in quite a while--I wonder why?!?!?!

25. I found this link...
http://www.counterthink.org/013262.html

It has a link to an artcle dated Oct. 18th at Aljazeera.com. The page is titled Middle East News Forex. I hope the story about Fox News is correct, but I really doubt it.

"According to most recent surveys, just 28 percent of Americans think the president is doing a good job, the lowest in a decade. But pollsters say that even without running a poll; just wandering down to the local coffee shops you will see the amount of anger and frustration as a result of Iraq war, the mounting casualties, skyrocketing energy prices and the government’s policy..."

24. You know how they have that 5% "wiggle room?"
Like they always say, "5% plus or minus"...well, I have come to believe that when they (the media - ANY media) claims that Bush is at 36%, he is really at HALF THAT AMOUNT. I really believe that they have increased the numbers to 36% because the reality is too terrible for them to admit!

Helpful hint for the RW talkers: Check your pants - did someone crap themselves?

26. I'm skeptical about this for now
The latest Fox poll I could find was 11/8-9, and had him at 36% approval 53% dissaproval.

27. Retracted for now
John Avarosis retracted this headline on his page until anyone can verify this...but makes a good point of it being funny if Fox quoted Al Jazeera's poll of 28% approval.

29. Still too high......
FOX News: Bush approval now at 28%
by John in DC - 11/26/2005 12:38:00 PM

UPDATE: I can't find this poll anywhere. I saw it live on FOX cable this morning, they even had it written at the bottom of the screen throughout the entire story, I kept looking at it because I couldn't believe it dropped that low. The only reference I could find online to Bush being 28% in the polls was an Al Jazeera story. It'd be funny if FOX repeated an Al Jazeera story! Anyway, I'm striking this headline until someone can backup the number.

This needs to stop or I'm just going to hyperventilate laughing.

The good news for Bush? Amongst insurgents in Iraq, his approval rating has soared. Apparently, they think he's doing a heck of a job - helping them.
