My Fellow Citizens.
Good morning My fellow citizens, I want to thank you all for coming or tuning in to hear what I have to say today. I will not twist the truth but instead, give it to you straight. The truth is painful sometimes, and often frightening and intimidating. It must be ever present at the fore however, because without it the value based decisions we citizens of the world make are tainted and twisted.

Myself, and the Democratic Party of the United States of America make this pledge to you. We will end the tainting and twisting of information. We, as fellow citizens, realize that the path before us pays no mind to the color of our skin, the name of our religion, the gender of our bodies, or the sexuality of our neighbors and friends.

Our Nation and the entire world are in trouble. I believe we have reached a point in time where the decisions the leaders and citizens of this world make now, will greatly alter the lives of generations to come.

Ask yourself what kind of world you really want your children and their children to live in.

Climate change, fear. War, fear. Energy shortages, fear. Terror, fear. Economy, fear. Elections, fear. I could go on. We have fear, because we have no trust or faith in our leaders to do what is right. We have no trust becasue we have no truth. Questions swirl around us in our den of secrecy unanswered. We, as citizens and leaders, must address them all. It is only through a truthful exploration of the issues that define our time that we can release ourselves from our oppressive fear. It is only through this exploration, that we can define the paths that will guide us in the difficult times ahead.

To borrow from Robert Frost, with all the paths before us, we must now take the one less traveled by, for it will make all the difference.

Thank you.

That is the speech I want to hear.

Olaf

1. kicked and nominated
having long ago chosen the path less traveled by, I know if we as a nation did it, it would make all the difference. Let us pray it is not too late to make the choice.

3. I'm beginning to consider doing something locally. Guess I'll start by
attending town meetings. Something. Have to start somewhere.
