Dean supporters who feel "shafted by the Media / DNC" - 3rd party..IF he
doesn't win the nomination.

I'm not going to go into how great Dr. Dean is. I'm soo pissed at the media "electing our candidate" and the corrupt politicians. We are in need of change in the system. And have major issues facing us.

Do you think Dean people would be soo pissed they would go third party if Dean were asked..?

1. I'm a Dean supporter...
But as much as I like him I'm ABB above all else. No third party voting for me.

3. No Way
I thought we were all pissed at Nader for 2000 (and possibly 2004). How could we even consider doing the same idiotic thing this year?

4. from what I'm hearing if it is true the then Bill Clinton
is behind this push against Dean and is now trying to push Dean out of the race. If that is true and we will be able to tell soon then the Democratic party can go to Hell. If Dean runs 3rd party I'll vote for him at this point. Kerry is a loser in at least 48 states even if the shrub doesn't run a single add against him. I would like to be a ABB but if the two party's are ganging up to destroy a good decent man who ran a truthful and honest campaign then they are both enemies of every honest American. If Dean wants he can use his org and people to help elect real democrats at the local level and we can rebuild the party perhaps a new party from the ground up. That would assume that there are still elections by 2008.

5. No way any one should take that route. This is the most
important election ever held in this country. The world could actually be destroyed or damaged beyond repair.

Funny...

Does anyone else see how this statement is analogous to the media's selecting our nominee, extrapolating 2% of the final vote and puffing up the candidate (answer) before all the votes are in?

11. Dean began The New Democratic Party v. The DLC Democratic Party.
For those who support the same old politics as usual, the reach across the aisle establishment Democratic Party then their candidate has been processed and is ready for consumption. And the establishment candidate, the don't rock the boat, the old time politcos' choice can be found at the DLC website. EVERYONE knows that Dean has been running a defacto third party race since the inception under the demo banner. He needs to make his third party official. The Decent Party.

Dean '04...

He said he would support the eventual nominee and I believe him. However, that will not stop me from writing in his name.

18. I would
Because it would split the party vote at a very critical time.

And, believe it or not, I think a majority of Dean supporters agree, despite the few trolls that pop up on DU. This comes a shock to the Dean-haters, I'm sure.

20. No. I have a better plan
Are you going to your precinct/district party caucus? Are you standing as delegate? Running for chair or state central committee second rep?

What are you going to do after your's state's caucus or primary as past to change the system?

Most democratic parties area run by a small coterie of insiders. They are ripe for the picking. Are you up to the challenge (cause its a lot of stinking work running the party at any level).

I will not be happy about it if it isn't Dean. I honestly think the Democrats will not win if he does not get the nomination.

23. So many people want to know if we'll leave the Democratic party.
I want to know why the Democratic party has left us. Running Kerry is an insult to those of us who are seeking a true Democrat. Remember the kind of guy who'd stand up to the multinational corporations? This party has been highjacked by so called liberals who vote for needless wars and feel no qualms about lying about and slandering their fellow Dems.

Will I vote for Kerry if he wins the nomination? Probably, but I'll feel only slightly less sick for it than if I had voted for bush*.

Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 10:13 PM by ThirdWheelLegend
and basically propelled Dean into frontrunner status, did you hate the media then?

The media was choosing our candidate then and they are still trying to steer it, there just seems to be a bit more negative than positive towards Dean recently.

liberals equals another four years of Bush. Now if Pat Buchanan wants to run for the Libertarian Party, I say he should go for it.

If they continue to screw Dean and we lose with anyone but Clark, you will see a 3rd party next time. I will be one of the 1st to sign up. At the very least there will be a whole bunch more independents.

Not after the stunts they are pulling to get rid of Dean. The fact that Kerry might be involved in some underhanded tactics just strengthens my resolve.
