Check Out this comment by Cong Jean Schmidt of Ohio in the debate
The fiery, emotional debate climaxed when Rep. Jean Schmidt, R-Ohio, the most junior member of the House, told of a phone call she received from a Marine colonel.

"He asked me to send Congress a message - stay the course. He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message - that cowards cut and run, Marines never do," Schmidt said.

Democrats booed and shouted her down - causing the House to come to a standstill.

Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tenn., charged across the chamber's center aisle screaming that it was an uncalled for personal attack. "You guys are pathetic. Pathetic," yelled Rep. Marty Meehan, D-Mass.

3. So does Congresswoman Schmidt know
that this entire administration has just been called 'cowards' by her Marine Colonel, since pretty much every one of them 'cut and ran' from Vietnam, while Democrat Murtha was there and in Korea before that?

It's really time to keep telling people that. I thought by now everyone knew, but when I mentioned that to a friend who is pretty a-political this week, she was shocked. She said she wondered if our rightwing, Bush supporting friend knew it. I said, 'probably not if all she listens to is Rush (anal cyst) Limpballs. She laughed out loud and thought I was kidding about that ~ I told her 'no, that was his excuse for getting our of Vietnam'. She was stunned!

So, I think I am going on a campaign to make sure everyone I know knows what a bunch of cowardly chickenhawks are sliming Democratic war heroes, including all their cowardly, chickenhawk, mouthpieces like Hannity, O'Reilly, Coulter, Rush et al. I'm not going to assume they already know. They don't if they are only listening to the chickenhawks.

4. The Republicans are pathetic!

Just showed the clip on Hardball tonight - Schmidt is not even fit to lick Murtha's boots! When she spoke, you could hear the entire Congress start to erupt with displeasure. The House leaders had to call for a recess to get her to apologize for her remarks. How's about when she actually serves any military service under fire she gets to call a decorated veteran a coward!
