Will Clark win any of the states on Feb. 3?
Does anybody see any positive poll numbers? Or is Clark finsihed? Will he at least win Arkansas?

4. He's doing very well in ND also, I hear...
I think he will be strong in AZ, SC, and OK ....at least as strong as anyone else at the moment...

5. Bill Rirchadson...
said today on Inside Politics that Wes had about 20% of the vote in Arizona, where he's spent 1.8 million dollars on ads, but it looked like Kerry had the momentum to win.

Dammit Kerry! I like him, but he's killing Clark.

8. From what I've seen
Whatever lead Kerry has in is the MOE.

Clark has more people on the ground, and there are still undecideds.

He can pull this out, no question.

13. Folks on the ground...
...are key.

The question will be, who is more motivated to go the polls? Clark supporters or Kerry supporters?

Being the frontrunner may hurt Kerry in that regard. Clark's supporters may have a greater sense of urgency.

At least that's what I hope :hi:

7. He's doing fine...
Leading in Oklahoma, and in virtual ties in AZ and NM.

I read he was leading in ND, but I didn't see the numbers.

He has a tough road, as Kerry's big mo will help him swing undecideds in the southwest.

But I still think he can pull a win or three.

A strong showing tonight at the debate will help get the story moving...

9. Clark
had a 5 point lead in OK (40 delegates) in a poll completed on 1/25. Don't know if his NH finish will hurt or help.

11. If he does well in the debate tonight
I think he'll pick up more voters. I hope Tom Brokaw will ask better, more fair questions. I thought Peter Jennings was unprofessional in the last debate - I expected him to be fair and impartial because I thought that was part of the job.

14. Don't count on it.
"I hope Tom Brokaw will ask better, more fair questions."

Brokaw tipped his hand on "Meet the Press" last weekend. He alluded to deserter-gate and so on when discussing Clark's "problems".

YOu can count on the same old questions coming up again.

Hopefully, Clark has a proper response ready.

15. We *shouldn't* count on it
He needs to do well even if it's nothing but hostile questions.

This is the reality we have to deal with, it's sink or swim time, folks.

17. I live in New Mexico and think Clark is now ahead big here
We had a huge absentee ballot vote here when Clark was flying high. According to our phone calls Clark was getting over 50% of the absentee ballot vote out of 18,000 requested. That's 9,000 votes he already has. New Mexico is nothing but military bases. Holloman AFB, Kirtland AFB, Cannon AFB, White Sands Missile Range and a tone of retired military people! New Mexico is made for Clark.

he is also leading in Oklahoma but Edwards is a threat.

25. North Dakota
From what I've seen, none of the candidates is visiting ND in the next few days.

So Clark's earlier visit (visits?) could be a plus in what is in essence an uncontested state.

It'll come down to who is motivated to go out to the polls.

26. He looks good, but who knows.
Oklahoma probably.
New Mexico and North Dakota likely.
Arizona maybe.

But who can really say? I don't understand why Kerry gets such a bounce because people in Iowa and NH voted for him.

He's in the headlines. It's that simple.

28. I hope he wins them all
If Clark doesn't come out in at least second in overall votes after Tuesday then I think he might be finished. It doesn't matter to me though, I support Clark because of his ideals, not because of his poll numbers. I'm his man until the end.
