Rep. Murtha vs. Chickenhawks....Mission Accomplished.

Reresentative Murtha`s chilling summary today of the pitiful mess in Iraq should sting like an arrow through the heart of any rational American. He`s right. It`s time to go.

I sat riveted as Murtha laid it all out in gory detail for the administration`s chickenhawks. His words ripped away at the king-of-the-hill war games played by these men of privilege. Such disparity between the life of the paralized soldier and that of the golden, chickenhawk oilmen riding their mountain bikes and attending $2,000 a plate fundraisers.

Murtha`s words came from his heart, a welcome change from the usual Frank Luntz focus group crap or from the Barbie and Ken zombies perched at the anchor desks. Murtha didn`t skip over the civilian deaths part or the strain on our military or the terrible injuries or the financial costs or the lack of electricity in Iraq. It was all there in black and white.

Murtha deserves our support and gratitude. I called his office today and hope that many of you will too. No more tip-toeing around the pile of dead bodies. We must fiercely object to the continuation of this bloodbath.

he told the complete truth about what's happening there. He told Wolfie to 'give me a break' when Wolf tried to tell him what Hastert said ~ 'has HE served in the military?' Murtha said, referring to Hastert.

I think in his earlier speech he mentioned the VP's five deferments rather than serve.

Wow, it's so great to hear someone tell the truth.

Wolf tried the 'what about caving into terrorists' Republican talking point ~ and he said right away 'There were no terrorists in Iraq before we got there' and 'everytime we kill an Iraqi inadvertently we create terrorists.'

This man is making sense ~ I hope others join him.

it's clear the democrats are now determined to let the IGNORANT DEMOCRAT-DETRACTORS know that JUST as many (if not more) democrats, as repukes, have served honorably in the military.

Therefore, idiots need to quit assuming that the repukes are "good at" military stuff or national security. Obviously, they're NOT.

Kerry, on Tweety, mentioned the FIVE DEFERMENTS.

Apparently some bold strategist has put that phrase (about Chickenhawk Cheney) into the demo lexicon, and I think it's ABOUT TIME! From now on, those repukes who snipe about democrats being "unpatriotic" better be able to show some military service to the public. Otherwise they can just STFU, b/c we, the public, are not listening to people talk about making war if those people haven't even been in the military when they could have served.

5. Pubbies in full panic mode over Murtha. Today they trotted out about

20 congress critters to rebut ONE Democratic congressman telling the truth about Iraq - and Scotty added his 2 cents as well. Murtha clearly struck a nerve. I can't recall any reaction like this ever over the words of one congressman.
