The reason for this is that's Plame's covert anti-proliferation task force intercepted at least two
attempts to smuggle chemical agents into into the country that looked very suspicious for BushCo.

So on top of everything else, preventing the BFEE's "planting the WMD" plan was certainly a
prime reason for blowing her cover, disabling her task force, and preventing her from foiling
any other evil plots they might be hatching.

So there was more motive behind the outing than simple revenge against her husband.
ValPlame's operation was a threat to them.

1. Right! The "revenge angle" was just a cover story for the real

reason that the Imperial Bastards committed treason by outing a covert CIA agent. The real reason was to disable the covert anti-proliferation operation that the CIA (under Plame's supervision) had going. The Bush Mob (who can't shoot straight) would never have been able to move enough WMDs into Iraq as long as Valerie's team was on the job - and they knew it...
