I don't believe the "failed bomber" woman was involved at all...
I think this is just one more staged event by BushCo..

First, they claimed it was Al Quaidea but they had no actual proof to make the public believe that claim. After all, any teenager with a computer and a wicked mind could send off THAT claim.

So suddenly the mysterious woman appears. Her story has changed with the wind. She said she saw her husband detonate his bomb, but miraculously she was not hurt. In another report, she claims that when her husband saw that her bomb did not go off, he signaled her to run. How did he do that if he was dead?

She looks too emotionless, forced and flat to me. I have the feeling that her children may be being held as hostages, thus forcing her to tell any tale the REAL perpetrators want her to tell.

Someone has supposedly "disarmed" her bomb and put it back on her for the photo op, otherwise the camerapeople are just plain fools for being that close.

And isn't it strange, she is supposed to be the sister of another RIGHT HAND MAN to some supposed Al Quaida biggie?

Every damned time BushCo gets in trouble, somewhere in the world gets bombed...New York, Spain, London and now Jordan. So Al Quaida wants to make the entire world mad at them, huh? No, BushCo wants to make the entire world at this phantom organization they started right after 911 and named it Al Quaida, which simply means, "the base".

How about you? Do YOU believe this woman is truly a failed terrorist?

1. It was suspicious
the first time I heard her interviewed. She spoke and the translator said one thing then CNN said something entirely different. It was like a story being crafted before your eyes.

4. I can't say either way - but something is strange about her
I look into her eyes and something is missing. She should not be so relaxed inside as she is. I wonder if we'll ever know?

7. Mr. Spock, her eyes bothered me too...
She looks almost hopeless...like someone with nothing to live for anymore...like someone has taken everything from her. She doesn't have the look of a fanatic.

5. I was a little taken aback buy her standing there with bombs strapped
onto her but I assumed they were diffused. I also was a little suspect when I heard she was from Iraq.

6. This whole thing smells bad. Remember the Kuwait nurse who
turned out to be the daughter of the Kuwait ambassador to UN? You know, the incubator thing.
Besides your very relevant points I have viewed a LOT of photos from the Radisson blast and the force seems to have come from above (ceiling).
To top it off why would al-Quaida, looking for backing from M E countries, kill a bunch of Palistinians.
And then her quote about "It was a wedding party, women and children".
This totally sucks.
Have you read any accounts regarding her actual apprehension?
I haven't and find that rather peculiar in itself.

8. As of yet, I haven't read anything...all news is coming from CNN
right now. But never fear..."they" have worked up some kind of story that most of America will suck up and believe instead of questioning the very convenience of this woman "living to tell the tale."

11. sorry, don't agree
apparantly her family has issued a 'fatwah' (if that's what you call it) against her for shaming them and will "kill her" if they ever see her again (not likely in this world).

As much as I hate the Chimp, not everything is as phony as his Texas twang.

12. and your proof of that is, what, then?
how can you be sure something isn't phony when a) you don't know what a fatwa is, and b) you use the word "apparently."

13. I'll see your proof, thank you
I am entitled to my opinion based on what I've read and seen, as are you. I haven't seen any others in this thread offer "proof" to back up their views, so I will hold myself to the same standard.

And, I know that a fatwa is a legal pronouncement in Islam generally, but not always, issued by a Muslim cleric. Perhaps you are a scholar of Islam and could say more. As far as using the word "apparently", that's based on having heard it from one source only, which since I haven't found any other to substantiate it (just looked) I'll revise the word to "according to one source".

14. So where is this statement from her family?
I haven't seen or heard anything about it.

Is there video of them or is this coming from some US Dept of Misinformation?

15. "Confession"
It was as phony as can be: first, she claimed to have pretended to be a guest at the wedding party - but why or how could she appear at such a gathering and not wear a wedding gown? She would have stood out and be recognized as a phony immediately. Second, she that the bomb belt was outside of her dress - anybody would have recognized it if had been real. Third (as was pointed out) if her husband's bomb blew up, why wasn't she killed?

In another thread, I pointed out the fact that Juan Cole has said that "al-Qaeda in Iraq" is not acknowledged to be a genuine organization in Iraq. It is nothing more than a fabrication made up by the Bush regime just as Victorian England made up the story of the T'hugs terrorists in order to justify further imperialism in India.

16. I've been dubious of this one since it came out.
Let's review.

The targets included an American film producer and his family, but they also included Palestinians.

We're supposed to believe that Zarqawi, a PALESTINIAN, not a Jordanian, but a Palestinian raised in Jordan, orchestrated this.

Next, we're supposed to believe that this is the work of Zarqawi, now called "Al-Qaida in Iraq," allegedly.

And we're supposed to believe that this woman was married to Zarqawi's righthand man, and that said righthand man was used as a suicide bomber.

Well, if you're going to tell a big whopper of a story, it's best to fabricate it in another country, one with no possibility of our ever knowing the truth beyond these videos of her.

The bomb DOESN'T GO OFF? She's captured, not blown up? sure

18. Last night, (11/14) I heard Keith Olberman began to voice some of the
same questions and doubts that we have raised here. I don't know if they have read the blogs and begun to question or if they see the same weaknesses that we see.

Now, supposedly this woman will go to trial. She doesn't seem to KNOW very much about the situation.

I just don't understand why BushCo thinks that we will believe that the Arabs will continue to kill other Arabs as a means of spite to US and other allies of ours. This just doesn't make any sense to me.

IOW, Al Queda/Zarqawi gave her up (by identifying her) to authorities.
How convenient. Hmmmm.

Why would they allow her to wander around on TV with a "defused" bomb.

I suspect that she was wholly computer generated.
