speech today? That's a phrase he used. Go Kerry. It's so true. I think it's catchy, "campaigner in chief."

Kerry also referred (again) to *'s "war of choice" which is also true.

They are good at PR but lousy at government.

3. It's 110% true and I HOPE
More people in the party use this phrase.

ALL Junior does is campaign and lazy around. He does ZERO actual work.

Oh God PLEASE get him out of the WH.

6. I missed it. Dang!
I hope they repeat. Good line. That's what I thought when he gave it. Sounded like a campaign speech. Why bring up Kerry otherwise. Whatsa mattah, George. Ya scared of your campaign rival?

Good for Kerry not letting go unanswered.

I don't think George knows what to do without a campaign. His administration, it has been said, was geared for nearly nothing else. All political and no policy.

7. Kerry said many good things today...several zingers too. I know
there are a couple of threads on it. I think that they are in the "greatest" section.

9. You know, I guess for me it's not either-or, I still think he was
wrong not to stand by the election fraud comments or to come out on this issue...however, I understand that I don't have all the answers, I don't know everything, and I am not in his shoes. I don't like that he won't fight on that issue. Okay, so I don't like it. That doesn't keep me from admiring him or the work that he does. You know?

It's not like he made me angry and I wrote him off. I don't know that I have. I think it's important to be able to discuss these problems. To not be labeled a "Kerry basher" or "pathetic" or "eating our own."

I hope that I am a big enough person to see the complexity in people, to honor their positive traits, to recognize their good and forgive whatever it is that I judge to be "wrong" or "bad."

Does any of that make sense? BTW thanks for asking.

10. Well, you can give me a cyber pimp slap if I ever use those words
I agree. I don't like seeing one issue be the make or break as to whether people think someone is worthy or not.

I don't like to see "Kerry basher" or "pathetic" or "eating our own" either, but neither do I like the flip side, being "Kerry bot" or "apologist" or "sychophant."

It's not as binary as some make it sound. It's not a choice between collapsing at his feet in adoration or declaring him a DLC corporatist Skull and Boner elitist who only wants to be president because he only wants to be president.

That doesn't seem rational nor terribly mature or sane to me, either way. I can disagree with him, and be occasionally disappointed in him, and still admire him for the majority of the things he does. And think also that in general, he's a decent guy. Overly cautious maybe, but a decent guy.

Mostly I just don't like leftover primary wars where half truths are slung around. Not for Dean, not for Clark, not for Kerry, and not even for folks I'd never vote for in the primaries like Biden or Hillary. Criticize when they are wrong, praise when they are right, and don't continually look for reasons to turn a positive into a negative because the person speaking or acting is not someone you want to see as president.

I think you and I agree mostly. I tend to give Kerry the benefit of the doubt most of the time. But more and more, I try to do that wherever I can with anyone.

I just figure we need to stick together if we can, and aim our ire where it belongs.
