Dean was great on MTP "...it's because of my moral values that
I am a Democrat..."

Dean is a terrific speaker. He speaks for me; he speaks for many. I think he is a gifted speaker. He can hit the key points and he does it in such an efficient way.

He was right to talk about the moral values of the Democrats. I think he did a great job.

2. That is really good to know.
And he will raise plenty of money for the DNC.

4. I'm sick of the relentless attacks on Dean.
Of course, what did I expect from the Rethuglicans? That's all they know how to do - attack prominent Democrats. They certainly do not have a positive message that they can back up with facts - unless it's, "Giving the ultra-rich more money is so much fun!" Somehow, I don't think that plays well with the masses.

15. Hi Maat
I love how they keep asking the Dems why we raise so much less money than the freepers. We all need to show that their money has been raised by special interest groups receiving kick backs of questionable and unbelievable proportions. They bring it up and rub our faces in it. We need to take them up on the issue and make a huge deal about where their incredible finances come from.

12. Was he on MTP Sunday?
I Tivo’d it but haven’t had time to watch.

I just love that guy, and hate to miss an appearance.

5. Saw it, loved it
Dean's performance was excellent, even in the face of Russert's when-did-you-stop-beating-your-wife questioning.

IMO, this is Dean's element much moreso than was the campaign trail. I don't know what kind of President he would have made (though I like to think that I have an idea), but he's fantastic as Chair of the DNC.

8. I loved it when timmy said something like
'some' democrats...the good Dr said, 'I don't respond to rumors'... A loud cheer went up in our house.

9. He said something like that during his campaign
Some media drone began a question with "some Democrats are saying..."

Dean answered "I don't answer blind quotes" or something similar.

Exactly the right answer!

10. he seems to be on top of things
I worried during the 2004 campaign that he was too green. He seems to have gotten over that. I was VERY impressed by his MTP appearance and his handling of Russert. Honest, fresh, smart.

11. Dean is a real political fighter
It may be that he occasionally takes one on the jaw, but he lands them on his opponents far more often than some other candidates who just think they can defend until the end of the round and win by not losing.

Now that he doesn't have to be a "candidate" he can stretch into this role with a lot more ownership and real political leadership than he was able to as a candidate.

I especially like that he characterizes unattributed "some people say" bullshit as rumors. Perfect - turn it back on the press for even trying pull bullshit like that.

Say who the "some people" are or shut up Russert.

14. Dean laughs at their stupidity,
and shows it for what it is. Like when the up or down vote was brought up, he laughed and spit out the word hypocrisy a few times. He's fearless. :headbang:

He could have been a lot better...especially when challenged by Russert.

values and NOT be a Democrat? How can you be a Christian and NOT be a Democrat?

19. I've said the same thing to many of my Conservative friends....
and the look on their face is disbelief until I go through the list of Moral Issues that they hadn't thought of: homelessness, elderly, sick, health care, etc etc. Moral Issues are exactly why I vote Democrat!
