Would John Edwards ever
ran for US Senate again? There is elections for NC Senate in 08 and 2010, against Sens. Dole and Burr.

3. Risky because losing would mean the end of his political career.
After losing NC in 2004.

4. Not likely
His directorship at the Center for Poverty, Work and Opportunity is until the end of 2006.

I don't think he will run for Congress or the Senate again because he mentioned once (maybe more times) that he got frustrated with the Republican agenda and no one was doing anything to stop W with his draconian measures, so the only way he saw change to truly occur was to run for the office (first pres, then veep) himself.

5. What if
the Dems take control in 2006? Also, would he take the Attorney Generalship in 2008? Then run in 2010? I'm just throwing out ideas here.

6. Whatever he does, he needs to get back in an office to
stay in the game.

7. Certainly one thought
But remember there have been others who were no longer in office either in their governorships, Congress, or in the West Wing that made it to the presidency.

Edwards has a lot of flexibility at the moment, being on his own. He's en route to India as I type this to give one speech, then on to United Arab Emirates to join Bill Clinton and others in discussing enterpreneurial opportunities.

11. He is the Director of the Center for Poverty, Work & Opportunity
But he doesn't teach law classes per se. He has seminars that are open to the public, inviting folks to talk about the realities and perceptions of poverty, and soliciting ideas on what we can do to raise these people up to start gathering assets as well as income.

There have been some rumors that Elizabeth may teach law school in the future; currently, she's working on a biography about her life and how community has strengthened her, especially during her life-threatening disease this past year.

14. Edwards for AG
If Edwards isn't Pres or VP in 2008, he would make an outstanding attorney general!

12. I didn't think about that...
Mike Easley, a Democrat, is the current Governor but term limits won't allow him to run again. His term ends in 2008, so Edwards could run for Gov in 08 and Easley run against Dole.
