8. Could someone explain this to me?
Im not too up on how the delegates are awarded and find it somewhat confusing that Kerry has won Iowa and NH and is behind in delegates.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how this system works?

FYI: Im not a Kerry supporter.

9. It's about endorsements. A lot of people tried to fix Iowa
Dean could find that some of these delegates will switch because they are not locked in.

5. Did you guys know that Bill Clinton is a delegate from NYS?
Delegates like him can commit to a candidate, and do not have to be won through a primary. :~) I'd love to know whom they'll support.

10. He'll vote for Clark
He once said that the best candidates, Hillary and Clark, weren't running yet.

11. It is because of super delegates
Super delegates are democratic office holders (or former - like Bill Clinton) and even though they may have pledged to a candidate they can defect to another candidate. Because of that, the narrow lead of Dean in overall delegates is fairly meaningless. Dean has to start winning some primaries if he is to have a chance. He is about two primary cycles from being knocked out of this race, imo.

They were added to prevent rioters and pigs from taking over the primary, right?

13. There's a few reaons for superdelegates
mainly to prevent the party from being taken over.

If only Perot would have set up such a system in his party, Buchanon thugs wouldn't have been able to take control of the federal funds and squander it.
