Lil' Scottie comin' up LIVE in a few
Right now there's a darkened screen with background chatter, which means this should be happening soon.

The presser threads always take me by surprise, but today I was looking on the WH site and didn't see a schedule.

22. Scottie just got punked into letting a reporter read from the ethics code,
When Scottie tried to tell her that the other reporters wanted to speak and that anyone could read the section on the website, the other journalists essentially said, "it's OK, let her read it."

Fun stuff! MKJ

24. caught a few seconds on C-Span - Scotty Just Committed an Ethical Wrong
Scotty just crossed a line I do not recall any WH Press Spokes person do in the past. Not even in this administration.

Please Check me on this:

When did this or any other WH press person in the past ever before today, stoop to direct negative partison smears, denigrating the the minority Party?

Paraphrasing, using the usual WH talking points that is generally relegated to their favorite radio and tv shock jocks, Scotty made statements to the effect the Democratic Party has no vision, has not done anything positive for the American people etc, has not brought forward a positive plan for the war in Iraq. In effect, engaging in partisan smear ampaigns from the white house.

I have my critisims of the DP to be sure. And I hash that out among party members in order to try and pursuade action, vision in the direction I believe the party should go...

but that's discussion between us on this board, with the dp rank and file or in person meetings, conferences, letters to my reps, telephone calls and so on.

But the white house is supposed to be representing the AMERICAN PEOPLE, NOT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Now, if anyone knows if some sort action that can be called to censure Scotty, either by the press or by Congress, etc.. I'd like to know.

And if this has happened before, I'm not talking about the ordinary politicking from the podium, I'm talking about direct denigration, I'd like to know and I'd like to know if any action can be taken to account for Scotty's actions in this regard.

pro-terrorist and when he was called on it by another reporter, he lied about something that happened *a minute* beforehand. Scotty is definitely ethically challenged.

28. Represent all the American people
excellent point radio4, and one we all need to be reminded of.

The White House and Congress and the Supreme Court work for all of the American people -- they are not there to support one narrow PARTY OF SPECIAL INTERESTS.

29. Scotty's just an echo chamber to Bush who is the real partisan monger.
Bush drew the line in the sand with Alito. Anyone that thinks he is compassionate, conservative, moderate, and 'regular' is mentally challenged. Bush is so far right that America looks like Germany in the Hitler years.
