I ask you to put your hand on the bible, and sit down on the witness stand in the trial of Irving Scooter Libby, and testify to what you said you heard from Joe Wilson "in the Fox Green Room".
Vallely has irresponsibly claimed something that is denied by Joe Wilson: Vallely claims that in a casual conversation in Faux's Green Room, Wilson told Vallely that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA. My opinion: Vallely is lying, possibly at the behest of Karl Rove or of Scooter Libby or of Dick Cheney.
If Vallely, as a witness, recounted what he says are Wilson's words, it would not be hearsay. It would be testimony garnered, presumably by the defense, to impeach the testimony from Joe Wilson. (And it seems to me that Wilson is almost certain to be called as a witness in Libby's trial.)
So go for it, Mr. Vallely. Testify to it. Under oath.
In fact, I think he shouldn't even wait till the trial. Calling Patrick Fitzgerald and his FBI investigators! Go and take a statement from Vallely. Call him before a grand jury and put him under oath and take his statement.
And let's just see if Vallely tells the FBI, and tells a grand jury or a petit jury, UNDER OATH, the same thing he's saying publicly about what he claims Joe Wilson said. Let's just see.
Which federal prison do you prefer, Mr. Vallely?
