i couldnt believe how many canididates were either cross endorsed by both major parties or had no major party competition. no republican running for public advocate, city comptroller. and the local city council man (peter vallone jr) was cross endorsed by the republicans.


in those cases i voted for 3rd party canidates. i think its terrible when there is no major competition for a elected office. whether its a democrat or republican, competition is needed to keep the officals on their toes a bit and to hopefully insure some level of integrity.

1. I voted for the Working Families Party candidates first, and then went

down the lines to see who else was running in the Dem lines in the offices that did not have WFP candidates. I do not remember any GREEN party candidates that did not also appear in Dem line.
