Every time *** opens his mouth I get angrier. Now its time, per
the idiot-in chief, to demand the widening of the Panama Canal. Well sir, please take note of the fact that children are going to bed each night hungry here at home. People are dying because they have no health care. Others are losing all they worked for because they have run up high health care bills with no help from the government. Millions will be cold this winter because they will not be able to pay their heating bills. Do not brag about the employment figures, many are no longer counted because they have exhausted their unemployment benefits and are therefore not counted. Try to add that figure to the current unemployed figures, makes for a very large number of people in distress. The areas of the US that have been hit with natural disasters need billions for reconstruction. We have YOUR war that drains us of life and resources with no end in sight. Most of the middle class is struggling to pay their bills while your cronies make millions of dollars on their investments. Take into consideration that most Americans have never been able to save enough to invest. Most are just trying to keep the wolf from the door. Do not ask us to pay for any more of your folly. Our grandchildren will be paying your deficits.
The billions we did not have for health care are now paying for your war. Save the billions more from the Panama Canal demands and feed the children at home that need food. Establish affordable health care. Speed up the rebuilding of the ravaged south and other areas of need. Better than that, go home and take your groupies with you. Surely we can find capable people to do the job.
The next election cannot come soon enough. I hope we make it. Go Harry!!!

1. Are there really ships that cannot get through?
What are they carrying? Or would this just be another no-bid boondoggle for a contractor, say Halliburton?

6. The US does not control the Panama Canal anymore.
for all its wonder, ... and it truly is a testament to determination and enginereing skill is out dated. There was no "BIG DEAL" made out of the turn-over of the Panama canal a few years back because the canal is no longer the critical shipping lane it used to be. Shipping transports are so enormous no that they are ported on the coasts or sent around the tip of South America. The cargo ships of today dwarf the largest transports of 50 years ago, and the canal would only clear the largest ships back then by a VERY small margin.

The US does not control the canal anymore, so there won't be any Haliburton contracts.
