Bush's IRS to threaten the Pope?

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/11/bushs-irs-to-threaten-pope.html

Assuming the IRS isn't violating US law, and the US Constitution, by launching a partisan witch hunt against a liberal church, we assume that the IRS will soon be threatening the tax status of the entire Catholic Church in America since Pope Ratzinger himself overtly tried to throw the US presidential election in favor of George Bush.

And I take you back to July 11, 2004:
American Catholic bishops are trying to defy secret advice from Rome that Communion should not be given to John Kerry, the Democratic presidential candidate.

The advice is contained in an explosive memo - clearly directed at Sen Kerry - by Cardinal Ratzinger, the Pope's doctrinal advisor, who is head of the powerful Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith - the institutional heir to the Inquisition.

-snip-

Last month the Pope delighted White House election strategists by agreeing to meet President Bush in Rome after repeated overtures from Washington. A senior religious advisor to the White House told The Telegraph that there was "no doubt" that the Pope preferred President Bush to Sen Kerry, even though the Vatican was strongly against the war in Iraq and the senator is a practising Catholic.

also some phone numbers:

Here's the phone number for the IRS' national media office, since we are media and all:

202-622-4000.

Tell them you're looking forward to their investigating the Catholic Church's tax status, or do they only go after liberal churches

And here's the chief counsel's office:

202-622-3300

3. Funny thing, Bush's entire 'Left Behind' theology based on Jesuits
The Catholic Origins of Futurism and Preterism ... www.aloha.net/~mikesch/antichrist.htm

George Monbiot almost got it right, but says this eschatology originated in 19th century Britain with dispensationalism. Unfortunately its origins are in the Protestant 'historicist' view vs. the Jesuit counter-reformation 'futurist' view, now known as the Left Behind pre-tribulation rapture view of the end times.

Their beliefs are bonkers, but they are at the heart of power
US Christian fundamentalists are driving Bush's Middle East policy

Someone should also look into the CIA's founding cadre of mostly loyalist Catholic Knights of Malta:

"The brotherhood's Catholic and aristocratic roots made the modern knights fervently anti-communist. The order has been largely responsible for the construction of the CIA, and many of its global covert operations. The founding fathers of the CIA William "Wild Bill" Donovan and Allen Dulles were knights, as were many other CIA hierarchy including Ronald Reagan's director William Casey and JFK's director John McCone. According to "Watergate" journalist Carl Bernstein, Casey gave Pope John Paul II unprecedented access to CIA intelligence including spy satellites and agents."

4. There shouldn't be any discussion of the Vatican on DU or anywhere
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 12:46 PM by higher class
else that involves U.S. politics. The VATICAN and their Bishops and Priests and their administration and Pope SHOULD LIMIT THEMSELVES to speaking only of souls and saving souls and doing some good along the way of education and basics for all people of the world while maintaining and honoring the cultures of those people - by keeping their noses out of politics. The Catholic Church is too involved in INFLUENCING RIGHT WING OBJECTIVES IN THIS COUNTRY and therefore IN THE WORLD. They are a political influence, therefore, they are a weakened religious influence. Catholics should put their foot down.
