I, LynneSin, am one of the few DUers with an excuse to not Vote today
I live in Delaware - we make sure all of our elections are on even years. So there is no election today in our state.

HOWEVER

For the rest of you - get out and vote. And while you're at it, pick up a couple of co-workers, neighbors, relatives and other friends and get them to the polls too.

Especially if you have family & friends in Virginia and New Jersey - call them and remind them to vote.

The only excuse you have to not vote today is if you're like me and you live in a state like Delaware where we have no elections on off years!

1. I'm not voting today but for a different reason. I did an absentee ballot
as my town has computer touch-screens and this New Jersey governor's election is too important to assume my vote would otherwise count. A paper ballot is the only way I'd go.

5. How can you be sure that ballot will be counted? I had thought
about doing the same thing, but remember: It's who counts the votes that counts in an election; not the ones who vote.

But I will vote. Last night after 9 we received a call which rarely happens. I just knew it was a political thing from Kilgore's bunch. It was. To which I replied as soon as she identified herself: You have the wrong person here. I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN! She said, Thank you.

2. I did. Voted here in Virginia
and after I get off of work, I'm working my polling place. My son is doing "Knock and Drags", Knocking on doors of known "D"'s and dragging them to the polls to vote.

Here's to turning Virginia Blue.

Joe

12. From your lips to God's ears.
I did notice last night a LOT of Kaine spots on the TV. Let's hope the last minute push works.

7. Similar
no races in my precinct. Otherwise, I would be down there now, having voted and would be working the polls.

9. That's not the only excuse:
1. Non-citizen living in a state with elections.
2. Non-citizen living in a country that doesn't have states or an election today.
3. Parolee/on probation in a state where felons can't vote.
4. Not 18.

I don't know....do the majority of DUers have elections in which they're eligible to vote?

(No elections here in WI today, so I'm not voting.)

11. In Colorado, we voted last week.
I'm not sure why we were on a different schedule from the rest of the nation.

18. Yes, there's local stuff...
I'm talking about stuff I'll actually be able to vote in--I'll go home for next year's governor's race, but for local stuff I won't bother. I'm in RI at school.

17. Here's another excuse....
I recently moved to a new state & by the time I registered, the deadline had past to vote in the 2005 election. (hangs head in shame). Maybe I'll vote anyway, if Republicans can stuff the ballot box, maybe I can too!

20. I am not voting because there is no one I care to vote for.
I am in a totally red county in Georgia and there is not one Democrat on the ballot, so I will not waste my vote on a Republican.
