Will Corzine Pull This One Out???
I'm down here in that flip-flop state (Florida) so don't know the skinny on what happened this past week-end. Heard Corzine goofed or something.

But then again, I wonder about voting for ANYTHING these days. How do we know it ain't FIXED!!!

1. The only think I heard was that his ex wife came out and said
a lot of derogitory things about him. The last poll I saw though, had Corzine ahead by a slight margin. My fingers are crossed.

3. During today's debate he didn't seem to sure what the drinking age in NJ
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 02:50 AM by fearnobush
was. The talk was something about our soldiers in Iraq not being able to drink under age 21 and he said something like, if they can go off to war at 18 then they can drink. If anything, he may have picked up some under 21 votes, or at least off set any damage 10hrs before the polls open.

5. As in lose, I highly doubt it.
I'm still going to call for a 10pt win for Jon, but with BBV and no exit polls who knows.

17. He sounded foolish and idiotic
he actually thought the drinking age in New Jersey was 18 not 21. He said something to the extent of "the drinking age is 18 isn't it?" Not exactly a very in touch man.

6. Yes, Corzine will win
Edited on Tue Nov-08-05 02:56 AM by wiley
He said that if 18 year olds can go to war, and he voted against the IWR, then they should be able to drink alcohol. The drinking age in Jersey is 21. He said he really wasn't in favor of the 18 year old drinking age. No big whoop considering Forrester has changed all his positions in the last four days, and is trying to run as a supporter of stem cell research, abortion rights, gun bans and other things that his record clearly contradicts. These statements also contradict campaign statements of three weeks ago. Now he's running the scummiest ads using Corzine's ex-wife's statement. The people of Jersey are disgusted by the negative campaign, but Forrester's character and integrity is shot.Even Bloomberg in NYC wouldn't let Giuliana near his campaign, nor Bush, and with good reason.

Even Republican women and men will repudiate his gutter politics and lies.

8. Okay.... It Won't Look OR Feel Very Good
if he loses! That will be a BIG OUCH! And we'll NEVER hear the end of it.

The pundits were making me jittery.

7. Look at this poll on a NJ radio station...
Over 66% say that :silly: "YES, you should torture Al Qaida suspects" http://1010wins.com/topstories/local_story_305162021.html/?can_view=312025106

Oh.. and they also discuss one of the Corzine/Forrester debates.. I'm still looking for the info on the most recent debate.

12. God, I hope so but I'm really worried...
Forrester is a piece of human garbage. He continually runs for these big offices and NJ voters have sent him packing every time. I'm hoping that will be the case again but I'm really worried. Not only for what this will mean to me as a NJ resident but also how much more ammunition it will give those who are leaning towards using slimey gutter politics like Forrester has used.

13. Prediction - No - it's close enough to steal
and it will be stolen and the media will say it was due to successful negative campaigning and not even look at possible vote count rigging.

14. Corzine will be fine, it's the Virginia elections I'm worried about
Last poll I saw it was 54-42 in favor of Corzine. In Virginia it's about a 2 point game. Let's hope Bush's visit to Richmond yesterday helps turn off some folks in Virginia!

15. Richmond Times Dispatch says "thousands" turned out to see
Bush at the airport. I seriously doubt that - according to the news you had to have a ticket to get in to see him, and the "appearance" on behalf of Kilgore took place at a private air hangar at RIC airport (Bush on his way back to DC from South America). There sure weren't any pix of the "thousands" on the local news this AM - in fact no coverage at all on TV.

16. I voted
this morning; lots of enthusiastic black people here in Trenton voted too. Corzine gets it; he was here with Obama and has been doing what he should have been doing; going to the black churches and telling it like it is; forrester is a racist bush clone.
