Redistricting Reform - How Can We Achieve It?
It looks headed for defeat in both California and Ohio. Now, I know there are a lot of problems with the California initiative, but overall, what bothers me is that if both lose then we set back the cause.

How can we end this problem? The Constitution permits Congress to set rules on redistricting to Congress could pass a law mandating independent commissions, but that's not going to happen unless the Democrats take power and even then it's gonna be tough b/c politicians are interested in staying in office.

Any suggestions?

2. Sorry - not interested
I want nonpartisan redistricting so that it's not politicians who draw their own districts.

3. We need to somehow stop districts from being geographically ridiculous
Look at states like GA, VA, and FL and see how they have distorted districts to concentrate voters in as few districts as possible.
